Valentine’s Day adoption event is held for the first time

Cache Humane Society will be hosting its first Valentine’s Day adoption event on Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 7 p.m. inside of PetSmart in Logan. This is first of many adoption events hosted at PetSmart to be held indoors.

"We have about 30 cats and 20 dogs ready to be adopted so we will see how the weekend goes,” said Cath Manrique, the volunteer and fundraising coordinator for Cache Humane. “Our goal is to definitely place over 20 animals in good, loving homes.”

Mary Jackson, the cat manager at Cache Humane, said that these adoption events are essential to the shelter because it encourages people to adopt as well as promoting Cache Humane to the public.

“We have such a large variety of cats and dogs, they are all gorgeous and unique in their own ways,” Jackson said. “Cache Humane always encourages people to adopt because there are so many animals in desperate need of homes.”
